  • Understanding of Internal Gateway Protocol (IGP) operations for Intermediate System-to-Intermediate System (IS-IS) Protocol and Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) Protocol
  • Understanding of MPLS, Layer 3 VPN, and BGP technology and implementation

Cisco also recommends that you have practical knowledge of service provider MPLS network design and implementation strategies.
